Evaluation and Coaching Services

Psychological Assessments for Autism and ADHD

In addition to psychotherapy services, we offer ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) and Autism assessments that go beyond diagnoses, aiming to truly understand what makes you exceptional. Our approach is rooted in celebrating your distinctive strengths, while also working to understand the everyday challenges that you may encounter. These assessments are designed for use in diagnostic clarification, workplace and school accommodations, and to increase your self-understanding, or understanding of your child. They are delivered in a supportive and caring environment where you can explore the intricacies of your mind. Our commitment is to empower you and/or your child with knowledge, self-awareness, and enhanced capacity to navigate life.

We offer ADHD assessments for those 5 years and older. ADHD assessments include a 30 minute initial consult, 2 hours of assessment, and a 1 hour results meeting.

We offer Autism assessments for those 5 years and older.  Our Autism assessment package is a comprehensive clinical assessment and psychosocial evaluation that includes a 30 minute initial consultation, a 4 hour assessment, and a 1 hour results meeting.

Both assessments include document review, screenings, a full diagnostic report, and, when indicated, any documentation needed for accommodations in school or work settings.

Pricing:

ADHD Assessment: $750

Autism/full spectrum psychosocial evaluation: $1550

We will provide you with a Superbill for your assessment, which you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your plan’s mental health benefits and deductible. Reimbursify.com is a helpful resource where you pay a small fee to have your out-of-network insurance claims handled for you.

A comprehensive ADHD evaluation is a valuable first step, but understanding how to integrate the findings into daily life is essential for long-term success. New River offers post-assessment coaching sessions to provide structured, evidence-informed support following an ADHD diagnosis.

Clients receive psychoeducation to gain a deeper understanding of their diagnosis and specific attention profile, learn individualized strategies to enhance functioning across academic, occupational, and personal domains, and explore accommodations tailored to their needs. We also offer guidance on how to effectively request and implement accommodations in educational and workplace settings, promoting sustained growth and self-advocacy.

Post-assessment coaching sessions are offered to those who have received formal ADHD assessments through New River or externally. Fees for coaching sessions are the same as therapy fees, which can vary by clinician. For more information, please complete an interest form through our website and indicate interest in post-assessment coaching.
