Insurance
Our clinicians are out-of-network providers for all insurance plans.
All fees are due in full at the time of service. All clients receive a monthly receipt (“superbill”) that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. The superbill will have all of the pertinent diagnostic and procedural codes that you’ll need so that you can submit it to your insurance carrier. There are even a few companies out there – such as Reimbursify — which allow you to simply upload your superbill through an app and get reimbursed (for a small fee).
If you are not currently aware of your out-of-network benefits, we suggest contacting your insurance company so that you will know what to anticipate for reimbursement.
A few essential questions to ask:
1. Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, what is it?
2. Do I have a copay or coinsurance for out-of-network providers? If so, what is it/are they?
3. What is the “allowed amount” for CPT codes 90791 (Psychotherapy intake appointment) and 90837 (Psychotherapy 55 minute appointment)?
Good Faith Estimate of Charges
As required by the ‘No Surprises Act’ of 2020, all mental health providers are required to ask about client’s insurance coverage (including whether clients intend to submit claims to their insurance company) and to provide a ‘Good Faith Estimate for Health Care Items and Services’ to all self-pay or uninsured clients when care is scheduled, and/or when requested by the client.
We will provide this estimate to all self-pay and uninsured clients at the beginning of treatment and annually thereafter. A Good Faith Estimate is not necessary at this time for clients who are planning to use their insurance benefits to cover their services, but all clients have a right to request a Good Faith Estimate at any time.
